The reading Champions play a key role in fostering a love for reading amongst our children. At Oakfield the children apply to be a Reading Champion and 2 pupils are chosen for each class. They are reading role models mentors and advocates for reading. Reading Champions plan events in school such as World Book Day and helps to select new books for their class and the school library. They are also very knowledgeable about books available and make recommendations to other children about which books to read.
